due to the fact that i am not that good at expressing myself through words, so i decided to take a watercolor class as a search for a new way to express my feeling. during the class, i have been criticized by a teacher a lot since it was my very first time painting seriously. this makes me doubt what art really is. i am always told that there is no right or wrong in art which mean it cannot be judged. however, it is obvious that i have been judged by my teacher. i am also told that art is an expression of a person. if it is so, my work cannot definitely be judge!! besides, if i want to express myself, do i have to do it according to rule (in this case, watercoloring rules)? if i expressed according to my teacher's rule, would not it make my painting unoriginal? these are questions in my head after my first class. does it sound like i want to quit? no, i will not quit now because i have already paid 4,500 baht for 30 hours and i still want to learn more about watercolor painting.
