i first saw this picture of bruno quinquet at bangkok art and culture center. this set of picture, compared to other work shown in the same exhibition, seems to be plain and boring. however, i was fascinated as it suggests the viewers to see boring lives of salaryman in a whole new interesting and meaningful way. especially this particular one, to me, it reflects how people working so hard in order to be successful. another reason why i love this set of photo is because it makes me aware of the fact that, soon, i will become one of those who quinquet had captured on camera. when i was young, a life of salaryman is something i would not want to become; wake up, eat, fight with traffic, work, eat, go home, sleep. this mundane daily life of salaryman was something i had not wanted to become. i still have the same impression on it now but, as i am growing up, reality hits me hard and becoming a salaryman with monthly incomes seems to be a good ground to stand on. i have to admit that now i still do not know what i am going to become in the future. i might be one of those who refuse the monthly income in order to persuade my dream.
