i love miniatures. actually i love imitations of mundane things, such as building, or cars. i do not know why, but i guess it might be because it 'defamiliarizes' things that seem to be mundane to us. if anyone shares this obsession with me, the work of florent chavouet is what i would like to recommend. he brilliantly draws cities and towns of japan onto a piece of paper. his work is so vivid that i feel like it could come to life. his work is full of details. i do not get tired of looking at it and finding details i miss from my previous observations.
